Tomato "Kulema".
Cold-hardy and sturdy! Large fruits on a compact bush.
A mid-ripening (110-120 days) variety, specially adapted to lower temperatures. An ideal option for zones with risky farming conditions.
Characteristics:
Bush type: Determinant (medium height), 60-95 cm tall. Distinguished by a unique structure: inflorescences are set closely, often in pairs, every 1-2 leaves.
Fruits: Round, smooth, bright red. Meaty and sweet. Average weight 170-250 g, individual specimens reach 400 g.
Variety value:
1. Simultaneous harvest: Thanks to the frequent arrangement of trusses, the bush yields its harvest en masse.
2. Stress resistance: The variety sets fruit perfectly even in cool summers.
3. Versatility: Dense pulp makes it suitable for all types of processing (juices, paste, pickling) and fresh salads.
Agrotechnics (Master Class):
Sowing: March (60-70 days before planting). Soak seeds for 15 min in a 1% solution of potassium permanganate, rinse. Sow in moist soil, mulch with peat (1 cm), cover with film, and keep warm (+25°C).
Temperature regime: After germination, remove the film and lower the temperature to +15-16°C for 5-7 days (hardening against stretching), then increase to +20-22°C.
Planting out: At the stage of 8-9 true leaves. Spacing 40x40 cm. Best precursors: carrots, cabbage, beets, legumes.
Care: This determinant variety can be grown without pruning or trained to 3-4 stems to obtain larger fruits. Potassium feeding is mandatory during the fruit filling period.
